Mail issues iOS 13.2

Mail is still very buggy in iOS 13.2. If I search for an email, sometimes I get hits and sometimes not and I have to kill the app. Even if I get hits, when I try to open it it doesn’t show up - only gray background. Mail is one of essentials and I believe it should be addressed by Apple ASAP.

it is happening on iPhone X and 11 Pro as well.

Welcome to Apple Support Communities. It sounds like you're having trouble searching for mail. I'd be happy to provide steps that may help.

First, try viewing and searching your email when logged in to the account from a web browser.

Next, delete the Mail app and reinstall it from the App Store: How to delete apps on your iPhone, iPad, and iPod touch.

If those steps do not resolve the issue, please reply with the following details:

-Are you able to search Messages without issue?

-How many mail accounts are you using with the Mail app?

Tnx for the effort Joseph. Tried and it does not work. I tried to remove and add accounts too, but it doesn’t help. When I search an email it is ok with results, but as soon as I try to select an email from search results it seems like it would open, but I get only gray background and whole mail app becomes unresponsive for a while.

I have also noticed that when app recovers and I am trying to look at different emails, it just randomly opens other emails...

I have three accounts: exchange, gmail and iCloud, where exchange emails are limited to last 30 days.
