Apple services in Gabon
Hello,
I have been using Apple products for nearly 3 years now. The devices themselves work perfectly well. But here are the issues I've been experiencing so far in the usage.
- When adding a payment method, I cannot choose Gabon among the countries listed because it isn't there. I don't know if they forgot this country but it's clear that I can't select "Gabon" as country for payment methods neither on my MacBook Pro nor on my iPhone X. At the beginning, I have been using "Chad" as country with a VISA card issued in Gabon and it was working till few days ago. Also, when I was in South Africa, I have been able to use some VISA cards from there as well. But now as I'm back in Gabon none of these methods is working. I thought Apple will notice the issue itself and solve it but nothing has changed till now.
- Here is the reminder I keep receiving from Apple "This is a reminder to have the battery replaced in your 15-inch MacBook Pro. Apple has determined that the battery may overheat and pose a fire safety risk." . I really appreciate the way Apple cares about its customers safety but my struggle is that there is no Apple Authorized Services Providers in Gabon. I spent time checking on the Apple support website but I only found 2 countries in Africa where there are Apple Authorized Services Providers ("Egypt" and "South Africa"). I tried to call them but any of my calls went through. I could have emailed them if there were email adresses, but there aren't. I also tried to directly respond to the emails from Apple but I was told those emails were not monitored.
What can I do, please?
