I lost the iPhoto icon on my dock. How can I retrieve it?

Choose Applications from the Finder's Go menu and drag it back.
If you're on Mac OS X 10.10.3 through 10.14.6, iPhoto will only open if it's version 9.6.1.
If you're on Mac OS X 10.15 or above, iPhoto won't open. Use Photos or another replacement.
