I have a great BenQ monitor but it's heavy and I want to take my super light Sceptre 32" TV to a friend's and run them there for a few hours. It has 2 HDMI ports. Surely it can be made to use as monitor.
Any idea or tip or tricks on how I'd get them running together, to 'sync' them?

Yep, looking at the remote, I hit source, chose hdmi ml (or s omething like that) and immediately got a picture.
My one problem now is getting the audio to play thru the tv. Any tips for that?

HDMI carries both audio and video.
Check your audio preferences.
Most modern Macs have an HDMI port that can be used as a monitor.
Not as good as a real computer monitor but I've been using them for years.
