System 7 on Mac SE

Hello. I have an old Macintosh SE with 4 MB of RAM, original 20 MB HDD, and 800KB floppy. I was wondering how efficient System 7 runs on this. It is currently running System 6.0.8. I would like to get an external SCSI drive to install System 7 on, but I don’t know what is a good one or the requirements for it to work. Any help would be great. Thanks!

Need advice on OS upgrade options Just purchased a refurbished iMac, circa 2008. It has El Capitan v 10.11.6 for OS. Has 4 GB memory and 250G hard drive. I need to upgrade the operating system; but seems I can't find an option that works - Catalina, even higher El Capitan. Any suggestions?

Which OS system for a 2017 iMac I am a graphic designer using Creative Suite (inDesign Illustrator and Photoshop mostly) and I'm about to buy a Used (new for me) 2017 21.5 in iMac. I'm wondering what OS system I should put on it? It has Mojave on it now. My computer at work (mid 2015) got updated to Monterey not too long ago and I had to bring it back down to High Sierra because it ran turtle slow after updating. It was awful. And from what I hear - Adobe is not fixing compatibility issues fast enough. All that to be said - which operation system should I put on it? Catalina, Big Sur? Keep Mojave. Or should I buy a newer model - 2020? Thoughts please.

System 7 (the earlier versions 7.0, 7.0.1 and 7.1) will run reasonably well on a Macintosh SE with 4 MB of RAM, but the existing System 6.0.8 is faster and will allow more memory for applications.

System 7.0 was made available for download from Apple on 800K disk images (System 7.0.1 1.44 MB).
