On an ipad how does one transfer a selected photograph from all photographs to an album?

Select the photo. Then Tap on the share icon, the icon with the up pointing arrow. Swipe down in the resulting window and select Add To Album. Select the album that you want to add the photo into.

Open one photo----> hit the share icon (upper right).

in the following menu you see Put in Album. Then choose the album you want.
