CarPlay changed resolution size to wrong size. Cut off edges

CarPlay has changed the resolution in my Mazda 3 2019 from the natural widescreen to I think 5:3.

The screen is slightly cut off on the top and bottom. The left and right sides have a lot of empty black space. I have tried rebooting the iPhone and restarting the car. Have tried forgetting/deleting the car from CarPlay settings. I did not perform any updates, this happened after I came back from a store.

The iPhone shows the layout as the wrong format in the CarPlay settings. Apps are in a 4x2 layout. Previously it was a 5x2 layout.
