I am running OS 10.10 on a iMac, because I have lots of software that I use that will break with an upgrade to 10.13 or more. I have iTunes 12.4, and iTunes tells me there is an upgrade to 12.8. If I click that I want to download it, I am taken to the App Store, which tells me there is no update. Any way to download it from Apple some other way?
Is your version of Yosemite 10.10.5 then you can get iTunes version 12.8.1.

This will take you to the download page for iTunes 12.8.2, but do not download this
because it can only be used on Macs with 10.11.4 or higher.
Read on and you will see text for 10.10.5 users,
you will see the blue text 'here', click on that and it will download the version
of iTunes that is correct for you.
