Can Maps alway stay in daylight mode

It sounds like you want to use the Light mode for Maps, and I want to help.

Maps follows the Light mode or Dark mode theme set for your iPhone. If you have Automatic set, then you'll see Dark mode at night.

You can go to Settings > Display & Brightness.

Turn off Automatic and choose the Light theme under Appearance, and Maps will follow suit.

Note that this will not change when getting directions in Maps, and will only change the default view of Maps.
