Sending and receiving SMS between iPhone and Samsung Galaxy S8

Hi there,

I have an iPhone XS Max with Verizon and my friend has a Samsung Galaxy S8 with T-Mobile. There’s been a recurring issue with sending and receiving SMS messages. I’ll send a message to my friend and he never receives it, even though it says the message was sent on my iPhone. The same will happen to him where he will send a message and it says sent on his side, but I never receive it. Anyone have this issue occur where the message sends but doesn’t actually deliver? Please assist.

I see that you're unable to send or receive text messages on your iPhone to/from a friend that uses an Android device with a different carrier. I'm glad to help.

Manage and delete contacts on your iPhone, iPad, or iPod touch If the issue is with only this one person, write down their contact information, then delete their Contact card. After it's been deleted, restart your iPhone Restart your iPhone, iPad, or iPod touch. Once you're back to the Home screen, re-add his contact information and see if you can send him a text.

If you can't send or receive messages on your iPhone, iPad, or iPod touch -- If you're still unable to send or receive a text from your friend, review the information and apply the steps provided in this article.
