mobile operator lock

hello, I bought a used iPhone, it is locked to the operator of the United States of America, I don’t even know which operator to figure out, could you help me find out which operator and when the contract with the operator expires?

if I recognize the operator and the term of the contract, I can contact the operator with a request to unblock this iPhone because I understand there are no other options, the Apple company does not unlock the operator.

iPhone 7, iOS 13

Are you able to get into the phone? If so, you can check in Settings. Otherwise, this is a user to user support forum and Apple does not participate here. If you wish to find out who the carrier is, you can contact Apple Support and provide them the serial number. They can tell you who the operator is. Only the operator can unlock the device, and they are not obligated to. You would have to inquire if they provide unlocking services and if you qualify.

If you do not wish to go through all of that trouble and you purchased this device online, if the seller did not disclose the iPhone was locked, I would return it for a refund. There will be other issues you could run into with that phone, including warranty issues.
