When using my countdown timer sometimes it won’t resume after it finishes it previous countdown IF I received a notification mid way through the earlier countdown. I have to power the watch off and on again to clear the issue. Anyone know why?

I sent Apple a video showing the the fault with the timer and their tech. team have advised me to press and hold the timer app. on the watch to delete it and then go to the App Store again via the watch and search for Apple Timer and download it. Hopefully this will be a fix.

Thanks for replying, since updating my iPhone with the latest software which just came out the issue hasn’t recurred so hopefully that has fixed the bug.
Glad to hear this! When I start the timer through Siri I don’t have any problems. I can repeat as many times as I want and when I’m ready to stop it doesn’t freeze up. My only issues are when I open the timer up directly from the app. Thank you, Obanlink, for your Apple connection in dealing with this matter and sharing the information!
Thanks for the heads up about the update! I just updated my phone and restarted my watch. I used the timer and didn’t have any problems. Hopefully that was the solution!
My countdown timer just began having this issue after the 6.1 update. I can use it multiple times in a row and then it gets stuck with the choices to "cancel" or "resume". Neither choice will work and the only way to use the timer is to restart my watch. I've also done a hard reset and the issue continues. I'm not getting any notifications on my watch during this process. I have the Apple Watch Series 3.

Since the last iphone and apple watch updates my countdown timer hasn't frozen. I can now go through the app to use it. I can resume and when it's time to stop it doesn't freeze. Mind you, it IS still glitchy and acts like it wants to mess up but it rights itself. (fingers crossed)
Same problem. I’ve had to use Siri to set timers & I think I might even like it better
Apple techs. are investigating the issue and I’m now awaiting a response as they agree that there is an issue.

Unfortunately I’ve since experienced the same problem with my timer freezing on ‘resume’ or ‘cancel’.
Yes, I am also facing the same issue and has to reset the apple watch to use the countdown timer. looking forward to a fix.
Well crud! As of this morning, my issues have returned too! After using the timer successfully 3 times in a row, it froze after the 4th time. Ugh!
