I am unable to select multiple files from iPhone to copy to my macOS Catalina folder. Is there something I'm missing. The copy or select all options are greyed out

"Apple has removed iTunes File Sharing and implemented in the Finder the ability to view your iPhone's storage and copy files directly. However, there is a significant bug in the new OS that prevents you from transferring more than one file at a time. This has been frustrating to many of our users who have upgraded to Catalina, and we're hopeful that Apple will issue an update to resolve this bug soon.

In the meantime the only real solution to avoid this is to revert back to a prior version of the OS if that's an option for you! I'm sorry there isn't more that I can do, but you may wish to open a ticket with Apple about this so they know how frustrating it is, and do let me know if you have any other questions or issues!"

With the new macOS Catalina Version 10.15.4 the problem seems to have been fixed. I just moved 72 videos from Filmic Pro to my MacBook all in one go.

Hey Breezee, im having the same issue actually. If you connect a phone to Catalina and go into finder, and goto the "files" tab of your iPhone, you can select multiple files from the apps to copy to your computer. You can only do it one at a time. The functionality of selecting more than one file is gone and needs to be fixed/re-added.

Yeh ! the latest upgrade - Catalina 10.15.4 (19E266) has fixed it !

Same issue here. Before, we could go into iTunes, then file sharing then drag and drop multiple files out of the device (I use it for a video camera via Switcher Studio). When you choose Sync in iTunes you are directed to a standard Finder window, but the ability to shift-click or control-click etc does not work, I often have 60-70 files to transfer, but seem to be unable to select more than one at a time.

I'm afraid it won't work in all cases. For example, when I navigate to my FilMiC Pro folder on my iPhone, I can only select and drag one file at a time to my folder on the Mac. This is a very tedious process when there are hundreds of takes to copy over.

I know guys how it sounds, but I managed to copy multiple files via iTunes installed on $300 windows machine... I hope Apple will be releasing fix very soon.

Yes, apple, please fix asap. it's crazy how this has not been considered for such a simple, frequently used function. You finally made the iphone accessible via finder but you can't drag and drop multiple files from your phone to your computer? : (

Yup, latest betas of ios and macOS and I still am having issues. I understand bugs can take a while to fix, but this one has been flagged over and over and is a really significant problem for users who rely on this. We need this fixed ASAP.

Same here. I am really ****** off, because I need to transfer 110 audio recordings, and I can not select multiple files!!! So I need to drag 110 times, and then I need to delete each file manually another 110 times - so 220 actions in total, without confirmation windows. This is crazy!!!! I really hoped Apple would do better than iTunes, because they split the apps, but no, this is getting worse. Please add multiple file selection!!!!!

Another bump for this bug fix. The dark mode, finder sync and other + features are negated by not being able to shift-select multi files for transfer. I - like many others - use my Mac for pro audio/video work and this is laying to waste my creative workflow - sooooo much wasted time! Please iron this bug out ASAP. If the trend of focusing on iphone consumers over MBP creators continues I may be migrating to a linux system once my 13' finally turns over. ☮💟🕉 ❤️💛💚

Utterly agree. I have attempted to find a way for my app, Siwriter, to save files directly to iCloud as a work around. No luck there either.
