GarageBand sound waves

Hello, I’m new to GarageBand and my sound waves appear flat even though audio is playing from the guitar I’m recording. Anyone know how to display the sound waves for the tracks? My other song I recorded displayed the sound waves so I don’t know what is different about this song. Thanks!

GarageBand on MacBook pro Hi new to this but be grateful if any one could shed some light on why GarageBand will let me record my guitar but not hear the play back. It worked first couple of times but now has stopped. Thanks😃
