The free, St. Claire Software Go64 tool will provide you with a listing of 64 or 32-bit software it has found.
If you do not want to install Go64:
Press the option key and click the menu to choose System Information… . Scroll down on the left side of the System Information panel until you arrive at Software. Click Applications, and the rightmost column (64-bit) will display Yes/No for application status.
If it says Yes, then look for the Legacy Software (Mojave+) category and see if the same application is listed. I mention this, as by example, iPhoto v9.6.1 is shown as 64-bit, but in reality, it also appears in the Legacy Software category with two 32-bit library components that invalidate its Catalina compatiblilty.
If you've already updated to Catalina, your 32-bit apps are the ones that don't work any more.
Forget it VikingOSX, we're not spoon-feeding it enough. I actually had the audacity to make the reply in different forms requiring an entire mouse click to read the solutions.
