MacOS Catalina - late 2011 13" MacBook Pro

Joseph-S. has posted the official MINIMUM requirements to Install. That does not mean it will be appropriately responsive at that level.

Users report ElCapitan and later requires 6GB or more RAM for appropriately-responsive operation, and some insist that an SSD boot drive for Catalina is a must -- otherwise it is not appropraily responsive.
