AirPods won’t connect

I’ve recently purchased AirPods and I can’t seem to get them to connect. I’ve tried to reset them but even that doesn’t work ( it shows a solid white light when holding the setup button for way longer then 15 seconds ) I’ve tried almost anything and everything. Any help would be appreciated.
