I recently went to the USA, about a month after I returned my iPhone X had decided to change region to American (US) whenever it wants. This means I can't make calls as it changes the format of my saved numbers. I have to go into settings,general,Language&Region, change it to United States then change it back to United Kingdom.
This can happen once a day or ten.... again, I'm doing nothing, the 'phone is changing on it's own!

I’m having this same exact problem. It’s not ok.
A £1100.00 phone should work PERFECTLY and when it doesn’t, we should be getting top rated service. I’ve been in several situations where stopping in order to change my country region to be able to use my phone has been more than an inconvenience.
I’m so disappointed that I finally found where to post this problem, only to find someone before me has already asked for help and not gotten any!! Unacceptable! Is this forum only for apple users helping apple users or do Apple Tech Support reply?
This was something the 'Guru's' knew nothing about...turns out that the latest software update fixed it, but it was very frustating at the time!
