why is my Mac slow?
I am new to Mac and it seems the system is very slow; it takes more than 30sec to open an application. Is that normal? If not, what can I do?

- This is one of the symptoms SMC may need to be reset........Your Mac performs unusually slowly, even though its CPU isn't under an abnormally heavy load.
