Onyx disabled my spotlight

I used onyx to make my MacBook more manageable, but now I can’t find files in plain sight. How do I turn my spotlight on with onyx because the terminal command doesn’t fix this problem on El Capitan

MacBook Pro 15", OS X 10.11

Onyx and other utilities such as this are best used by people who know what they are doing, and only on backed up systems.

To restore Spotlight, go to Apple menu -> System Preferences -> Spotlight and add and remove the hard drive from the Privacy section to get the indexing to restart.
