My older Motorola modem is going bad

I recently installed a Linksys wifi router and booster purchased from Apple to replace the AirPort Extreme which did not reach far enough. My older Motorola modem is going bad (needs reset often) and I wondered of there was any model modem recommended to work with the Linksys for streaming, not gaming. There are so many on the market it is difficult to choose. We stream all our TV.

You posted a very similar question already, but I believe the answer will be the same ... and that is, check with your ISP on which modems that they will support. Most ISPs will provide a list of them, you just need to ask them.

Other than that, since you are no longer using Apple routers, you are pretty much able to use any brand modem. Modem are rated based on their throughput capability and that is dependent on what upload/download speeds your ISP is providing you. Just be sure to get one that will handle those speeds, and better still, allow for "growth."

I also have a Linksys Velop network and I have personally had good experience with this modem:

It's cheap, reliable, and hasn't failed on me yet.

You may need to go with something more expensive if you have gigabit internet. Take a look at this article for more suggestions:

Hope this helps,
