Virus http://lkysearchds3986-a.akamaihd.net

Hello,

Recently I cannot use google search engine because of this virus http://lkysearchds3986-a.akamaihd.net

Whenever I type in the keywords and press enter, it's automatically directed to another search engine, at first is Safe Finder - Yahoo and now is Bing.

I downloaded several virus scanners but they didn't figure out this virus.

Please help me to eliminate this virus. I feel so frustrated with it :((

Thank you very much!

Try downloading this program which was written by Thomas R, a long time poster. The program will search for malware/adware. The program will do the work for you which makes it easy. It may be necessary to run more than one scan. After running the scans, restart the computer.

Go to Safari Preferences/Extensions, uninstall any you don't recognize, and then turn all extensions off. Test. If okay, turn the extensions on one by one until you figure out what extension is causing the problem.
