I received email that my Apple ID was used to sign into ICloud from Mumbai India. Is this scam?

An email such as what you described sounds like it's actually a phishing scam: Avoid phishing emails, fake 'virus' alerts, phony support calls, and other scams


If you have two-factor authentication and signed in from an unknown device, you would receive a pop-up on your trusted device, not an email, as shown here: Two-factor authentication for Apple ID

No , your primary Apple ID address is same as web mail address ( your imap account is configured with web mail address ) , if you sign in with Apple ID address at www.icloud.com a mail will immediately be received in your imap account it locates the Mao through your IP address and through approximate map location .

The find my Mac is turned as on , this is not a scam and a genuine mail .
