Unable to uninstall McAfee on my Mac after installing Catalina

Try looking in and maybe asking in the McAfee Mac forums, as a starting point.

Contact McAfee Support, if no existing or no new discussions gets you where you want.

Could be the installation itself is corrupt, or the removal sequence didn’t work.

Add-on anti-malware ties into an operating system much like malware does, unfortunately.

Failing that, back up, back up again, wipe and re-install and don’t migrate apps.

We can get enough info to manually remove all parts of it...

Workable but harder for me to work with...the Note tool on the bottom of this editor's toolbar, as shown in the image, to copy and paste the output from EtreCheck.

Do you have

sudo "/Library/Application Support/Oracle/Baseimage/remove_mcafee"

also see if you have anything in

/usr/local/McAfee

They make us use McAfee at work, and it sucks down about 25+% of my CPU, and several times a day, my work Mac hangs with the spinning beachball of death. I have to go for a walk to keep from commiting Mac'ricide
