Hello nothinglikethesun,

Thanks for asking the Apple Support Communities for help with adding a song to your iPhone. I will be happy to help.

The specifications state the format should be supported: iPhone SE - Technical Specifications - Apple

"Audio Playback

Audio formats supported: AAC (8 to 320 Kbps), Protected AAC (from iTunes Store), HE-AAC, MP3 (8 to 320 Kbps), MP3 VBR, Dolby Digital (AC-3), Dolby Digital Plus (E-AC-3), Audible (formats 2, 3, 4, Audible Enhanced Audio, AAX, and AAX+), Apple Lossless, AIFF, and WAV"

Please start by verifying you have enough storage to sync your music. These two articles talks about the differences in iCloud and device storage:

Next, check that you are syncing music correctly: Sync your iPhone, iPad, or iPod using your computer - Apple Support

Your info shows you are using iOS 11, but if your computer is running macOS Catalina, you will use Finder. Windows and earlier macOS versions will use iTunes.

Also, do you use iCloud or Apple Music? The sync option may be disabled if using another syncing service: "If you use iCloud or other services like Apple Music to keep your content up to date across all of your devices, some syncing features through the Finder might be turned off."

If these have not resolved your issue, what difficulty are you experiencing?

Thanks and have a wonderful day.
