Cannot open a Pages file on MacBook Air running High Sierra.

I cannot open one particular file in Pages. It is labelled "exec" for some unknown reason.

Any ideas anyone?

The operating system will assign the Exec icon to files without extensions, because it uses a file extension to know what application to open it with, and icon to assign it.

If this really was originally a proper Pages document, then rename it with a .pages extension, and try opening it in Pages again.
