Since iPhotos no longer opens in Catalina...
I have many pictures in iPhoto, from pre-Photos days. Since iPhoto doesn't open in Catalina, how do I transfer my old iPhotos photos into Photos. Or even open iPhotos?

I got it. Find your iPhoto library with Finder. Right click and choose, Open with Photo. It will open and set you in Imports. Click "Photos" next to File and Edit. Then select Preferences. Click "Use as System Photo Library". That's it. If you have already put other photos into the "photo" library, you will have to find them and import them to the current library.
Launch Photos with the Option key held down, click on Other Library, and choose the iPhoto one.

What version of iPhoto was that library created by? If it was V7 or earlier you'll need to run the iPhoto Library Upgrader on it before Photos can migrate it.
How? It wont let me.. Its greyed out..
