How do you remove someone from a group chat. It's November 2019 and I have the latest iOS on my iPhone 8 Plus. I created a group where I can delete people off the group but that group has only 5 people. I created another with 15 people and the same swipe left over the name to remove, does not work. Is there no way to remove people since some do not want to be on this group?

I already tried this but one cannot swipe left to delete in this group. It simply isn't an option....

Remove a person

  1. Tap the group conversation that has the contact you want to remove.
  2. Tap the top of the group conversation.
  3. Tap , then swipe left over the name of the person you want to remove.
  4. Tap Remove, then tap Done.

So I think you are onto something. Let’s assume at least one of them doesn’t have an iPhone and is, which I’m pretty sure is the case. Is that what it is? Is that what messes up the entire group so that no one individual can be removed?
