Since the upgrade to Catalina, my mac mini keeps crashing and restarting. It seems only to happen when I do nothing on my Mac for a while (leaving it Idle), but no problem when I work on it. How can this be resolved?

If you are using the screen saver during the idle time or for a time before display sleep?
Try disabling the screen saver and only sleeping your display(s) during the idle time.
Run EtreCheck Pro and post back with the Report as per the instructions.
