Catalina, FCPX and closed captioning

Hello. Is everyone who does closed captioning on a regular basis inside FCPX, and have moved up to macOS 10.15 and FCP 10.4.7, still ok with their exports? I can no longer view a confidence preview in Quicktime player, even though the QT player sees it as being embedded. I am trying to figure out if I have left anything out, but I believe that I have all export settings correct under roles. Any insight is very much appreciated.

Can't Save or Export QuickTime Video on Catalina 10.15.3 I am having a problem with QuickTime on Catalina 10.15.3. This is on a 16-inch Macbook Pro (2019). I recorded a Zoom video, which automatically used Quicktime on my computer. I made a copy of the video and edited it -- all in QuickTime -- and followed the app's own Help screen for how to save a video. Command-Save led to Export-As, and all seemed well. I even told it to export to the QuickTime player on iCloud, as the directions also said. But then this error message popped up: "QuickTime Player can’t open movie. The file isn’t compatible with QuickTime Player." I've tried this several times, and it's bizarre. This is a QuickTime Video, edited in QuickTime itself, and told to export to QuickTime Player on iCloud. What is going wrong? By the way, I also tried saving this elsewhere in iCloud, where I normally store Zoom videos. The same error message occurs. Help?

imovie catalina menu issues I am having problems with iMovie on Catalina that I didn't have before. When it is open, it ruins drop down menus in its own application and other open applications. Exporting a video - it is hard / impossible to select menu items in the splash screen. Anyone else having these problems?

Shift-Command-5 suddenly no longer shows onscreen capture control options! Shift-Command-5 suddenly no longer shows onscreen capture controls! They appeared/worked for many months, allowing me to select where to save previous screenshots, but suddenly I no longer have that option — all I see is the selection box to select what's included in the capture — and I don't have a clue where my screen captures are going! It makes the screen capture function pretty much useless. :-( How can I make that control bar appear again, please?? (I'm using Mojave and have for some time — this does not reflect an operating system change. Screen capture worked fine yesterday, but not today — no idea what actually changed.)
