It happens frequently that when someone phones me from a company they get the message that my number is invalid. If they dial my number a second time it usually gets through. Usually one attempt shows Accept as a button and another as a slide. I can't remember which way works. I think it's the button 1st - the one that doesn't connect the call. Any ideas ?

If people are trying to call you and are receiving an error, then you need to contact your carrier. They control your phone number. They also need to ensure they are using all of the correct portions of the number, and country code if necessary.
It occurs to me that as it only happens with calls from an office where they would probably be dialling through their own switchboard/ own area code (it's big organisations) the fault could lie with their supplier rather than mine.
What did your cellular carrier say when you reported the problem to them?
They've given a whole load of options to try. I'll explore them. A couple were to do with settings ... roaming & switching between 3G & 4G. I think it's something to do with the organisations & the switchboard system they use. I was posting here to see if anyone else has this happening.
Thanks. That seems to make sense and I'm asking them as well. I just wondered if there was some setting on my phone that I'd got wrong.
Anything is possible, however there would not be a setting on your phone that you have set incorrectly, or actually set at all.
