Apple Event: May 7th at 7 am PT
My iPhone 7 Plus was at ten percent so I plugged it in to charge while slept. When I woke up and tried to turn it on, the phone screen remained black. I even attempted to hard reset the device by pressing the down volume and power button at the same time but, no boot up. I don’t know if this is a display problem or a battery one. Maybe a bit of both.

Also try a different and power outlet and wait 5 minutes to see if it charges up or do the steps in the link.

think your display may be dead, best take it to an apple store for repairs.
