I am trying to buy a book from itunes on windows pc. Have authorized computer, and entered gift card and made gift card the way to pay. When I click on a book it takes me to apple books preview. How do I buy the book?

I'm pretty sure the ability to buy books directly through iTunes, which cannot play them, was dropped when iTunes 12.7 came out. Books from the Apple Books Store can only be played using the Books apps on OS X/macOS/iOS/iPadOS. Purchase them on a device where you can read them.
