Typing fractions in texts

Why is it such a pain to type fractions on iPhone where Android dies it simply & seamlessly right out of the box. ???? iPhones I’m finding far too pretentious... missing Android and had iPhone 2 weeks, it is NOT growing on me like I was told.... bad user experience...
