Subscribing Apple tv + via Apple music student subscription and not via the 1-year free trial that comes with a new device purchase.

I will remain as a student for at least 1 and a half year, and I am a current Apple music student subscription.

Also recently I purchased an iphone and this purchase comes with a 1-year free trial of Apple tv +.

Since I’ll remain as a student more than a year and plan to subscribe the Apple music, I’d prefer to try Apple TV+ with the first option.

But the Apple TV app only offers me the second option (to try it 1-year free thanks to my recent purchase).

Is there a way to choose the trial method?

Case solved. I contacted the Apple service and after a long discussion, I found that I was already subscribing the Apple TV + as a student, although there wasn’t any sign showing that I was. (E.g. I can still see the 1 year free offer.) I was able to play any full episode. Thank you.

It should appear as push notification from Apple Music. Did you try signing out and signing in Apple ID in iTunes&App Store? If didn't, you can try it.

Note: make sure that music sync is turned on (settings > music > sync Library) and that if you sign out and sign in Apple ID, you may need to download your music back again.

If the same issue appears, I recommend you to contact iTunes Store Support.

Hello.

Both my iphone and ipad are up to date and the Apple TV app shows the same response in both devices.

In fact, I do see the offer of 1-year free subscription for the recent purchase.

My problem is that I do not see the offer for students using Apple Music, which seems to be a better offer for me.

Hello.

Is your device up to date? Check it in settings > general > update. If it is not, you should update to the latest iOS version available to get the offer.
