Portion of photos missing since upgrade to OS Catalina

Hi all,

Since upgrading to Catalina, specifically all my 2019 photos are missing from my Photo library. I already checked the photos folder in "show package contents" and don't see them. I'm assuming they're gone but if anyone has any suggestions -please- these were important to me... (already tried data recovery too)

have you checked, if Photos has opened the correct library? you can see the path to the library in the Photos preferences General.

to check for a different library launch Photos while holding down the Options key and look at the library chooser panel.

to see all photos in Photos 5 on Catalina look at the All Photos view. the Days are only showing a subset.
