Recovery Assistant
On my MacBook Air, every time I turn it on it goes to the Recovery Assistant. I hit the restart and then it goes to the login page. I don't have that problem on my iMac. ???

Hi writermd,
It sounds like your Mac is starting to recovery, and I want to help.
I would try resetting your NVRAM and make sure that you have the correct startup disk selected:
Reset NVRAM or PRAM on your Mac
How to select a different startup disk
If you're not able to start up normally, you may need to reinstall macOS:
How to reinstall macOS from macOS Recovery - Apple Support
Here's more info on the screens you might see when your Mac starts:
About the screens on your Mac as it starts up - Apple Support
Let me know if that helps.
Thanks for using the Apple Support Communities.
I actually did a full SMC reset, NVRAM reset and have even tried forcing the most recent update through the utilities screen (it wouldn’t install normally on its own like it’s supposed to) and it’s still doing this. This started after the 10.15.2 update launched and wouldn’t properly install. It’s driving me bonkers.
