Unable to check for update

Hi,

Last night my iPhone updated its software to the latest version. This somehow unpaired my Apple Watch which now won’t work because after pairing it needs a software update and it keeps saying “Unable to check for update, checking for a software update failed because you are not connected to the internet.” I am connected to WiFi and have restarted both devices. This is frustrating.

Having the same problem today, driving me crazy. Upgraded to 13.2.2 and the watch is now unreachable. Tried restarting watch and phone, restarting modem and router, resetting network settings, and disconnecting the watch from the charger (recommended in another thread). Nothing works.


As a last resort, it's looking like I'm going to have to waste more time backing up my data, reset the phone and downgrade to a previous iOS and wait for a fix to this version. Everything was working fine before this update.
