My iPad 2 is at iOS 9.3.5. I need iOS 11, but settings says I’m up to date.

iPad 2 is an 8-1/2-year old iPad running an over 3-year old, unsupported iOS.

That iPad is too old and woefully underpowered to run any newer versions of iOS.

For apps that rely on online, Internet support to operate, many of these types of third party apps are going stop being supported and stopped functioning by their third party developers.

Netflix has done this. Hulu has done this. Google/YouTube has done this, as well as, other similar types of Internet-based apps such as games and many online banking apps under iOS 9.

Time for a more up to date iPad or a new or discounted, refurbished iPad from Apple's Refurbished & Clearance section of their Website.

Your iPad model does not support any system version newer than 9. You cannot update your iPad any further. If you need to use software that requires a newer system software version then you will need to purchase a newer iPad model.

I am sorry, they must have updated their system which now requires an iPad running a newer system software version. This is the reality that you will encounter when using an older iPad, or any other type of computer.

I just recently discovered that YouTube is still working on my iPad 2 and there was a recent update to my older YouTube app.

Google must have fixed something with YouTube, recently, that may have been broken.

But Netflix and Hulu are still kaput, as well as, Vimeo!
