What if there is no X on jiggling apps how do I delete it? It won't drag to trash either.

I deleted a computer from system preferences but there are icons in launchpad that are related to the printer that I want to remove. When I make the apps jiggle there is no X on it to delete it. When I tried to drag it to trash it just bounces back. How do I remove these unwanted icons from launchpad?

How delete a HP printer (shortcut?) icon from my Mac desktop? I already have a printer icon in my dock. The printer shortcut (?) icon appeared when I dragged & dropped my printer icon from System Prefs, etc. to replace the large white question mark on the dock. That usually means it was installed using an installer. You would need the uninstaller to remove it.

Or, it is a built-in Apple app that cannot be removed.
