screentime request does not open by applewatch

When the child sends a screentime request, it floats on the Apple Watch.

When I release it, the child's iPhone was opened.

Since when

If the child sends a screentime request, it floats on the Apple Watch.

When I release it, but child's iPhone does not open.

I feel like I've been raising WatchOS 6.1 or 6.2.

Hi!

Thank you for your responses!

I would like you to connect your companion iPhone to a different network, either Wi-Fi or cellular (since your Apple Watch will share the same network connection), then test for the same behavior. If while on a different network, you receive the notification but the approval is still not received to the requesting phone, I would suggest creating a fresh connection between your iPhone and watch. To do this, unpair your Apple Watch from the companion iPhone, and set it up again. Follow the steps under, 'Disconnect your devices' shown here: Unpair and erase your Apple Watch - Apple Support. Then, use these steps to set it up again: Set up your Apple Watch - Apple Support. Once re-paired, test for the same behavior with the approval notification on your watch.

If the same behavior remains, I would recommend reaching out to Apple Support directly, for further investigation. Connect using this link: Contact - Official Apple Support.

Thank you for your time!

Take care.

Hello,

Thank you for using the Apple Support Communities!

Based on the details shared, it sounds like you are experiencing an issue with Screen Time notifications on your Apple Watch. I'd like to help but I have a few questions.

-Are you referring to receiving a notification where your child is requesting more screen time?

-If you approve the request from your iPhone, does it allow your child's iPhone more time?

-Can you recall recent changes made to your Apple Watch or companion iPhone, since this stopped working?

I would like you to try restarting your iPhone Restart your iPhone, iPad, or iPod touch - Apple Support, and Apple Watch How to restart your Apple Watch - Apple Support, then test for the same behaviors again.

If you need continued support, reach back out with an update and responses to the questions above.

Regards.

My wife and I are having the same issue on our watches. The issue started at the same time on both watches, I think after the upgrade to watchos 6.1 and iOS/iPad OS 13.1. We are able to approve the requests from our iPhones or iPads but not on the watches. We have 3 childs on 3 different iPad and we are not able to approve screen time from the watch for any of them.

Same issue here on Apple Watch. My child requests more screen time and this notification is sent to all my devices. When I accept this request on my Watch, it is not honored by the requesting deviced; nothing happens. When I pick up my iPhone or opens my MacBook Pro and accept the same request it is being honored immediately. So the Watch gets the notifications but it cannot send an accept back.

I have restarted the Watch, same results. I'm hesitant to unpair and repair the Watch since it's not a small task.
