How to update bit torrent on MacOS Catalina System ?
There is no new version from Bittorrent for many years. This is essentially abandonware. You are better off looking for a new bittorrent client that is compatible with the 64 bit Catalina OS.
Here is a link to a run down on a bunch of MacOS 10.15 compatible clients for Mac.

The last version is 4.1.9 (64-bit).
There is another Torrents download which is really fast and also can search for torrents if you want.
I will not recommend you download the Web version of bitTorrent which is the upgrade 64bit version for Catalina. I tried this one and it uses Safari for working and it is slow, really slow.
I strong recommend you Use qBittorrent. see the picture and link below.
The last version is v. 4.1.9 64bits.
You can't unless they release a 64bit version.
try uTorrent for web, its free and works just as good.
It will not work with Catalina.
You are talking about "Bittorrent"......Read again the posts...we were talking about "qbittorrent"v. 4.1.9
Thank you, I did try uTorrent Web. I did not like it working with Safari, I feel I have not privacy. Plus it works very slowly to download, never achieve more than 1, 1.5 MB/s. BitTorrent always download in 3, 4 & 5 MB/s. really fast because it gets more Peers. The settings are little hard to understand the first time but you soon find out the correct settings.
OK "..........Cada Loco con su Tema"
How about going the correct and safe route of downloading from the app store, recognized developers, and/or paying for the content you are downloading? I would not allow anything like that within a mile of any of my Macs as too many of them include malware and other unwanted bits and pieces.
I don't know who you are but what you are writing here is not true. You may not approve people using torrents but some people has not the means to follow the rules of moral. I am using it and it works perfectly.
Actually, it is true. See here:
Aside from some content which is illegal to download (you are essentially stealing it), you are also at great risk that this so called free stuff includes malware, adware, or other unwanted additions. But, it is your computer.
Probé con qbitorrent con Catalina y no lo reconoce.
No, you are talking about qbittorrent, the original poster is asking about "bit torrent".
I was giving the answer for BitTorrent the Mac app and offering alternatives that work with Catalina.
