Iphone 11 getting hot at bottom half while top half of the phone stays cool

So i got my Iphone 11 yesterday and ive experienced it becoming hot from minimal usage. The thing is, it is only getting hot at the bottom half of the phone, around where a home button would be placed, the top half of the phone is cool as it should be. And when i say hot its hot as in if i was watching a 4k ultra hd video for 1 hour whilst in reality i was only looking at instagram for 5 min and it gets this hot.

I contacted apple chat and we ran a diagnose which didnt show anything and i also tried restoring it but same issue. So is this something someone else experiences meaning its just a problem with the iphone 11 or is this something specific with my phone?

Since you just got the phone it's likely it's still indexing all the data you brought over from your previous phone. Give it a couple days and if this continues, schedule an appointment at your Apple Store Genius Bar and show it to them. Warm isn't unusual. Too hot to touch is unusual.

If you had a lot of data, yes, it can take a day or so for everything to settle in.

Bottom line though is if you are concerned, schedule an appointment at your Apple Store Genius Bar and let Apple evaluate your phone.

It is unusual since its at this specific place where the controllers are located. And even so does iphones really keep indexing for more than 24 hours?
