Apple Mail link opening in preview on iPad

Using Apple Mail on an iPad Air 2 with iOS 13.1.3. An e-mail will be received with links and, rather than the link opening directly in Safari, a window will slide in from the right with the destination website but smaller, almost link a preview. Any ideas? Thanks.

mail update It seems that in the latest update to the iPad Mail App, links in an email result in a pop up in a long thin box with text cramped and jumbled. It appears impossible to expand this box to read or fill in any details. I found this specifically when trying to leave Amazon feedback., but it seems to happen on any links in mail If this is a new feature, can it be turned off or managed so that links in mails give a full page to read?
