Moving from US to UK with HomePod

I am planning to move to the UK from the US. Will I be able to use my HomePods in the UK with a converter or will the power cord need to be replaced? If that’s even possible, I’m getting mixed messages on that option...

From HomePod - Technical Specifications:

Electrical and Environmental Requirements

  • Built-in power supply
  • Line voltage: 100V to 240V AC
  • Frequency: 50Hz to 60Hz

You will need a suitable adaptor.

The device itself will work in both the UK and US (note above says voltage 100-240, which covers range of both US and UK). What you will need is a new power cable with the proper plug. (You could just use a plug adapter, but I would not recommend for long-term use.) You can have an Apple store install a US power cable when you arrive in the US. I saw somewhere that the cost is $30, but that may not be correct.
