How do I separate my iPhone account with 2 iPhones sharing 1 iCloud account? We don't want to share messages or contacts. I want to upgrade to a new iPhone 11 and don't want to use a shared iCloud account.

Thanks for reaching out to the Apple Support Communities. From your message I understand that you have 1 Apple ID and iCloud account that is being used by 2 iPhones, and you wish to separate them. 

The easiest way to do this is to create a Family Sharing group. This will allow you to each have a separate Apple ID, but you can share iCloud storage, without seeing each other’s data.
