iPhone 11 bluetooth crackling and static

My iPhone 11 is crackling in my car's bluetooth. My wife is having the same issue too with her iPhone 11 in her car. 2 separate phones in 2 different cars. How can we get a clear connection?

Hi G_O_P,

Thanks for reaching out in Apple Support Communities. I understand that you're having audio quality issues over a Bluetooth connection with two different iPhone 11 devices. I can see why you'd reach out about this behavior; I'd like to help. First, I'd recommend verifying that each device is using the most recent iOS version: Update your iPhone, iPad, or iPod touch

Next, I'd suggest using the following steps on each device:

"If you connect using Bluetooth

    1. Restart your device.
    2. Go to Settings > Bluetooth, and turn off Bluetooth. Wait for 5 seconds, then turn Bluetooth back on.
    3. Check your car stereo's user manual for how to pair with a Bluetooth device. Most cars require a phone setup on the car display.
    4. If you've connected multiple phones to your car stereo, try renaming your device: Go to Settings > General > About > Name, and type a new name. Then try connecting again.
    5. Update your device.
    6. Install any firmware updates for your car stereo.
    7. If you still can't connect, contact Apple Support."

If your iPhone, iPad, or iPod doesn't connect to or work in your car

If the devices continue to have trouble after using these steps, reach out to Apple for additional assistance: Get Support

Best Regards.
