Airpods pro case problem

My airpods pro case top cover part can move a little bit between left and right. The joint is not perfectly fit and there is a little space. Are these normal?

My case suffers from the same issue. It isn’t a huge deal, but pretty disappointing considering this is suppose to be a “quality” Apple product. My original Airpods never had a loose hinge and the case always snapped shut without any movement. No clicks at all. Apple Pro products should be better than this. Quality control needs a refresher course.
