iMac and MacBook Comparison

I'm a graphic designer who uses a MacBook Pro 14,1 primarily for photoshop and illustrator. I found an inexpensive late 2013 iMac online and I need to know if I would experience a significant loss of performance when going from working on my MacBook to working on the iMac. I essentially need something to use at home that'll do the job without costing me a ton, but I don't want using it to feel terrible.

Thank you!

den.thed beat me to it. The rotational hard drive on the iMac is a terrible bottleneck. That said, if you purchase a quality hard drive enclosure (check out macsales.com) and an SSD that iMac will become a nice workhorse.
