Airpods Pro keep falling out of my ears!

I just got Airpods Pro and they will not stay in my ears for more than a minute or so. I feel them start creeping and I know I have only a second or two before they seem to jump out of my ear as if they were being repelled or something. I have tried every size tip and they all do the same thing. I never had any problems with my old Airpods so this is strange to me. If I don't find a fix I'm going to have to return them as they are basically unusable. Anyone else have this problem? Any suggestions?

This is an excellent idea. Here’s what I just posted:

”250 dollars. That’s what I payed for these. You’re telling me that 250 dollars doesn’t get me earbuds that stay in my ears? That’s outrageous. If I move my mouth at all they get pushed out of my ears. Even if I don’t they make their way out anyway. This is what sets Apple apart from other brands. This doesn’t happen with Apple products. How did this slip through the testing?

My suggestion is that you redesign the tips with a different shape or as foam so they stay in your ears. Then offer that for free to everyone who bought airpods pro, and have it included with the standard version.

People expect a level of quality assurance from Apple and this is ruining that. Before this I could buy any Apple product and be sure it would work as expected. Not anymore.

FIX THIS”

Same. Airpods were fine at staying in, but my pros slip out within 10 minutes of my workout. I am thoroughly unimpressed and mad Apple would allow this to be produced. Especially when they advertise them FOR SPORTS, and I can't have a workout without my airpod literally FALLING ON THE GYM FLOOR!!!!!! There's no way apple didn't know about this during their testing process and it's ridiculous they're charging 250-270 for a pair of earbuds that DON'T STAY IN, and their only solution is to post someones condescending comment about "did you do the fit test"? Yeah, we've tried it all, the product just SUCKS.

AirPods keep falling out of my ears. I agree with others here, for the price, they should stay secure without having to buy hooked and other for that purpose.

What I’ve resorted to is wearing a headband or buff to cover the pods to keep them in. That works ok, but even then they work themselves into positions preventing one or the other from producing audio.

Perhaps for security , y’all would consider supplying with each purchase a buff with the apple logo. Or an Apple gremlin whose job it would be to sit in the corner of the ear and hold them n by main strength. Hmm?

interesting...does he attach a kind of snap-on or possibly zipper-type mechanism to the ear? I think it’d be more reliable and less liable to slippage if the AirPods could be directly embedded in the skull. A zipper or snap could come undone for those of us with big flapping ears and it would be heartbreaking if, even after paying for your brother’s costly experimental surgical procedure, in bending towards the flushing lever, our ears flopped and the AirPods disengaged from the locking mechanism, plummeting into the toilet bowl.

Yes, I think it is a design problem. There’s too much weight in the bulbous section. The originals distributed some weight to the long tails that laid along side the face, which supported the burden. Without that “tail”, all the weight is right outside the ear hole and it just takes a tiny bit of deforming the canal (chewing motion, talking, yawning) to allow the ear pad to slip. Once the slippage starts, if you are moving, the AirPod simply falls out. If you are still, you can feel it’s no longer secure and push it back in. That’s annoying but ok if you’re just working at a desk, but if you are moving at all they just dont stay in.

I bought mine March 2nd. I have contacted support several times. They just allowed me to return them today. They are too expensive to be falling out. Hopefully the next release will be more like the beats version the woman at the Apple store was wearing. They have a hook that goes over the ear and She said they never fall out. These would definitely be an option if they were noise canceling but they are not.

I can add to this thread. I've had mine for quite a long time, and ever since day one they have had a weird fitment. I tried all three sizes of included ear buds and according to the app, the standard Medium size is the only one that seals correctly and they never stay in.

I have tried the aftermarket eBay memory foam ear pads but those are just much worse, so don't waste your money.

My best bet is to insert them like ear plugs: use my opposite hand to reach over my head and pull up from the top of my ear, and use the other hand to insert the Airpod deep into the canal (before it starts to hurt!), then release my ear while holding the Airpod in.

I know what I’m about to write is petty. I often - while watching cable TV’s news pundits who wear AirPod Pros - hope, pray, and wish with great anticipation that one of those buds drop from their ear: just one. . . . on national television during a very important news story. . . just one! I would feel vindicated and maybe, just maybe someone from Apple will act on our complaints.

Yes, tried that too. It's quite irritating after spending so much time, change to all sizes, extra clean/ dry your ears/pods etc. The best you'll achieve is it staying in for a longer time compared to other times BUT they will fall out. If you eat, if you laugh, I'm sure even if you talk it will fall out

Please try introducing sizes with rough texture that may stick in. I miss my old ones (can't remember faaling out even once) that I gave away, the only thing good about this would be the sound quality. Please let me know if there's a solution yet. Thank you

With the pandemic, and all the zoom singalong videos, we too need to record a song:

E*   Emaj7 E7        A

AirPods keep falling off my head, unlike the ones I used to use before

  G#m      C#m       G#m   C#m

Now, Nothin' seems to fit, ohhhh

A B

Those AirPods’ fallin' on my head, they keep fallin'

E*   Emaj7

oh Apple please...

whose in? We can have the “recorded on iPhone”, at the end.

Good advice, if they didn’t fit just returned them smh. Clearly it’s a problem looks like you have over 5000 users complaining about the fitment of the air pods. But maybe that’s a very small fraction for Apple to care about since they sold millions of AirPods. Then you have this dumb person from Apple responding to all the people in this forum to simple just returned.
